Adjuvant

An Adjuvant is an agent used in conjunction with a main active ingredient in order to increase or enhance its effect.

Adjuvants are often used in vaccination to enhance the recipient's response to an antigen (antibody generator).

Adjuvant therapies are treatments given in addition to a primary therapy.
