OMG, you are going to absolutely love this one. I just discovered how to make my own kale chips and I am a little over-excited.
I looove kale chips – however they are crazily expensive! A bag of those things is an amazing treat but I never buy them because they are way overpriced, and I don’t have cash to burn…
Making kale chips is easy, WAY less expensive and I’ll bet that your home-made ones are super-delicious and put the packaged variety in the shade! Next time you are short of ideas for quick party bites or snacks to take to a potluck, bring a tray of these and I don’t think anyone will complain.
Here’s some more good news: You don’t need a fancy, expensive food dehydrator! This recipe calls for a low oven (300ºF) instead! Some other versions of the recipe suggest 350 but I would start lower and leave them in slightly longer, seems you will have better control that way and be better able to avoid over-doing them (which is apparently fairly easy).
So now, I am (of course) thinking about all the magnificent herbal flavor combinations that I can add to jazz things up. Of course, sea salt, vinegar and olive oil is the “base” layer of flavor. But here are a few more ideas:
Mixed spice seasonings i.e. Cajun Style Seasoning, West Indies Barbecue Seasoning or Smoke House Seasoning
Garlic (try sprinkling on some thin slices before putting in the oven.
Another note – you could try a more temperature resistant oil than olive for better health.

😳 Tinnitus And Brain Health?
After 47 years of studies and countless brain scans done on more than 2,400 tinnitus patients, scientists at the MIT Institute found that in a shocking 96% of cases, tinnitus was actually shrinking their brain cells.
As it turns out, tinnitus and brain health are strongly linked.
Even more interesting: The reason why top army officials are not deaf after decades of hearing machine guns, bombs going off and helicopter noises…
Is because they are using something called "the wire method", a simple protocol inspired by a classified surgery on deaf people from the 1950s...

Your use of “OMG” is very offensive to my sense of reverence.
Lol!
Des, I use OMG all the time, it’s for Oh my gosh. Don’t judge someone until you ask.
I ate a bunch of Kale chips today, made with olive oil and sea salt…sometimes I add some garlic powder, and they’re good if you sprinkle parmesan cheese on them…..and at the local stores, kale is cheaper than any other greens in the store…also use kale in my green drink, really love it.
OMG ALSO MEANS…..OH MY GOSH!!
Oh My Goodness, these are fabulous. Thankyou for the recipe. The prepared ones are expensive so I only got 1 a month…now I can have them everyday!! I would have said OMG…but didn’t want to offend anyone who’s sensitive. Merry Christmas!!
I like lemon juice on mine. So good! But my kids gobble them up!
