Here’s a super fun ‘herbal project’ that we discovered and had to share – how to make your own Mason jar herb garden. This should be a great one for the kids to participate in also! The link to the full tutorial is at the end of my short “introduction”.
One of the great things about this project is that the entire garden is portable – meaning that you can put them on a windowsill, outdoors (in fine weather) or wherever. π The other good thing of course is that you can customize and plant all of your favorites. Imagine having the plants in a row on your windowsill, with fresh leaves just waiting to be picked, washed and added to your recipes.
Note that you will have to be careful with the amount that you water – because jars can dry out easily if neglected: Also, a jar has no drainage so you will not want to over-water; neither should you leave them out in the rain to get flooded.

π³ Tinnitus And Brain Health?
After 47 years of studies and countless brain scans done on more than 2,400 tinnitus patients, scientists at the MIT Institute found that in a shocking 96% of cases, tinnitus was actually shrinking their brain cells.
As it turns out, tinnitus and brain health are strongly linked.

Is because they are using something called "the wire method", a simple protocol inspired by a classified surgery on deaf people from the 1950s...

Can you guess which muscle in your body is the #1 muscle that eliminates joint and back pain, anxiety and looking fat?
This is especially important if you spend a significant amount of time sitting every day (I do, and this really affects me in a big way!)
Working this "hidden survival muscle" that most people are simply not training because no-one ever taught them how will boost your body shape, energy levels, immune system, sexual function, strength and athletic performance when unlocked.
If this "hidden" most powerful primal muscle is healthy, we are healthy.
Is it...
a) Abs
b) Chest
c) Glutes
d) Hip Flexors

Aah bellissimo! Wants one to start cooking just looking at the gorgeous herb garden in jars!!! Saluti Gina ***
Hi it is nice to know how to grow a herb garden.thank you.
Treat these like a terrarium. Use a layer of aquarium charcoal in the bottom of the jar. This helps keep the soil from becoming sour especially if there is some standing water. I usually put a layer of sand, then charcoal with soil on top, and don’t over water. Water will be filtered by the charcoal and rest in the sand below. The plants will send their roots into the sand layers for a drink.
Love this idea! Unfortunately I haven’t had much luck growing my herbs inside π This sprout then die. Not matter what I do π Any suggestions??
I love this idea. I think I’m going to try it and write a post about my results. Thank you for sharing this!
@ Jennifer: make sure that you are using soil that doesn’t contain any “weed killers”…sometimes the chemicals kill the sensitive herbs.
I’ve never been good at growing things but this looks simple enough. How much water and how often do they need to be watered?
I love growing herbs Some of them are so fragrant Anytime I cause fresh herbs I do U can use old coffee mugs pretty jars glower pots & so much note I always put a layer of small rocks in bottom add dirt Just don’t over water them I can’t wait to get mine started this year
What is your facebook page so I can “like” it?

Where do you buy the tags, that goes on the jars ? T.y.
Thank You Stephanie, you are rigth, some rocks in the bottom help to control the amount of water because it drains and you can see it.
I’m going to spray the outside with black board paint so I can write in the outside what the herb is!
So many great ideas. I am going to try this. Thanks Karen for the sand charcoal soil layering technique. I have a huge pot of spearmint. Can I transplant it into the jar or do I have to grow it from seeds??
