After a long day of work, your feet need to experience all the pampering that they deserve. The good news is, you can make your own, using all-natural ingredients. We have recently discovered a wonderful foot balm recipe that would relax your feet tonight and make them energized for another long day tomorrow.

Tea Tree Oil
Known for its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-viral properties, tea tree essential oil makes an excellent remedy for several foot conditions which include toenail fungus and athlete’s foot. Tea tree oil is known to be useful in eradicating fungus, virus and bacteria that cause foot infections. Furthermore, it can be used to treat small wounds, cuts and abrasions found around the feet. It helps in speeding up the recovery and healing process of these conditions. It can even help in alleviating discomforts caused by aching and sore muscles of the feet.
Studies show that jojoba oil is beneficial in moisturizing and softening the feet. In addition to its therapeutic effects when used in massage, jojoba oil also helps in speeding up the healing process of fungal infections around the feet and the toenails.
Also known as pot marigold, calendula is a powerful herb containing potent antibacterial properties which make it one of the most common ingredients in many deodorizing and soothing foot powder. Calendula helps in keeping the skin soft, smooth and healthy. This herb is actually best for hard, cracked and dry skin.
Known for its ability to speed up the healing process of cracked feet and hands, beeswax penetrates deeply into the skin, and moisturizes it. Beeswax is a good source of Vitamin A which is useful in rehydrating and softening dry skin as well as in stimulating cell regeneration.
Research shows that shea butter is an effective treatment for dry and cracked feet. It is known to be effective in softening and moisturizing the feet, elbows and knees. A rich source of Vitamins A and E, shea butter penetrates easily into the skin and nourish dry skin effectively. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that can be beneficial to people suffering from arthritis.
