5 Herbs That Relieve AnxietyImage – Naturehacks.com (with permission)

Anxiety seems to be one of the more prevalent conditions of the modern world. It’s not surprising – life is more fast paced and there is simply “more stuff happening” than there used to be. We face the demands of trying to “make it” in a changing world; one where the real rules are not necessarily taught but often need to be figured out as we go along… all the while balancing work, relationships, bills, taxes and the need to grow. Have you made sense of this crazy world? 🙂
We have our own page on herbs for anxiety but we found another good one, courtesy of our friends at Nature Hacks – and it’s nicely written. The link is below my tips.
I get a few questions and comments saying “This information is great but how do you actually use the herbs?” First things first, you need to check that it is safe for you to use the herb. If you are on medications, pregnant or have a serious pre-existing condition, you will need to check – typically with a medical professional or authority resource, that it is safe for you: A number of herbs are contraindicated (advised against) in pregnancy because they carry an abortion risk. You can also typically get some background information online by running a search (for example) on “rosemary contraindications” or “rosemary herb safety” or something like that – but be aware that online sources are not always accurate and certainly not the equivalent of professional medical advice.
On to the next step, herbs and supplements are generally available in the form of either teas, tinctures or supplements and can be obtained easily in health food stores or online i.e. Amazon. Supplements typically have advice on dosage, and I would always suggest to start under the recommended amount. You should be safe if you are trying something for the first time, even if it is a popular herb used by many people. You can even pull open a capsule end empty out half of it if you want to go that far. Same goes with the teas, you can always try a weak brew before trying a strong brew…
One of the great things about tinctures is that a typical “dose” is normally around 30 drops (always read the label) – so you have the option to fine tune the amount quite nicely.
Other options include essential oils, which have their own “rules” and safety notes, and ready-made product formulations that contain the herb(s) in question.
You can also pick or purchase fresh herbs, which is seen as the ultimate way to go but usually involves some preparation work.

Take These 8 Nutrients 1 Hour Before Bed To Boost Deep Sleep And Metabolic Regeneration By 695%:

Do you ever have trouble "turning off your brain", or experience anxiety, poor sleep or high stress?

It's called Shallow Sleep Syndrome... and it affects a HUGE number of people in the modern age.

Also - have you gained weight - even though you are "doing what you always did"? *raises hand*

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you MUST watch this video:

Most people are unaware that your sleep and your weight are connected!

Science has proved without doubt that your body cannot function without adequate DEEP sleep.

Deep sleep facilitates Metabolic regeneration - which repairs tissues (including brain cells), rebuilds health and restores your ability to convert food to energy instead of fat.

Deep sleep also supports the production of Human Growth Hormone - which is considered the "fountain of youth" by anti-aging experts.

Without sufficient deep sleep, our natural production and growth of Human Growth Hormone is obliterated!

Your Metabolism is wrecked and you have dramatically increased risk of serious disease!

But it gets worse - lack of deep sleep also suppresses the hunger-regulating hormone Leptin, which results in runaway food cravings and the metabolic dysfunction responsible for "inexplicable" weight gain.

Learn The 8 Simple, Natural Nutrients To Take 1 Hour Before Bed To Boost Deep Sleep And Metabolic Regeneration By 695%

Our natural levels of deep sleep decline in our 30's and even more in our 40's, which leads to metabolic slowdown and consequently, increased signs of aging.

However a dangerous new problem has entered the arena.... technology.

The culprit?

The screen of your cell phone, tablet, laptop, computer and television!

In addition to the High Stress of our Modern Lifestyle, the blue light emitted by the screens of our electronic devices is Wreaking Absolute Havoc on our physiological ability to achieve the previous deep sleep that we need so badly! This also is scientifically established!

The blue light emitted by smartphones, TV, computer monitors, tablets, laptop and blue LEDs has a similar effect on our bodies as bright sunlight - messing up our circadian rhythms and confusing our bodies about whether we should be awake or asleep!

Blue Light KILLS Deep Sleep!

Blue light, especially in the evenings and night time, destroys our bodies ability to produce its natural deep sleep hormones!

Once these hormones are gone, so is the deep sleep responsible for the body's natural fat burning power.

Can you now see the simple link between our modern lifestyle and out of control weight gain so many are experiencing?

Fortunately - nature has the answer (as always)...

Silymarin in the prevention and treatment of liver diseases and primary liver cancer.

    Abstract
In chronic liver diseases caused by oxidative stress (alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases, drug- and chemical-induced hepatic toxicity), the antioxidant medicines such as silymarin can have beneficial effect. Liver cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver and steatohepatitis are risk factors for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Insulin resistance and oxidative stress are the major pathogenetic mechanisms leading the hepatic cell injury in these patients. The silymarin exerts membrane-stabilizing and antioxidant activity, it promotes hepatocyte regeneration; furthermore it reduces the inflammatory reaction, and inhibits the fibrogenesis in the liver. These results have been established by experimental and clinical trials. According to open studies the long-term administration of silymarin significantly increased survival time of patients with alcohol induced liver cirrhosis. Based on the results of studies using methods of molecular biology, silymarin can significantly reduce tumor cell proliferation, angiogenesis as well as insulin resistance. Furthermore, it exerts an anti-atherosclerotic effect, and suppresses tumor necrosis factor-alpha-induced protein production and mRNA expression due to adhesion molecules. The chemopreventive effect of silymarin on HCC has been established in several studies using in vitro and in vivo methods; it can exert a beneficial effect on the balance of cell survival and apoptosis by interfering cytokines. In addition to this, anti-inflammatory activity and inhibitory effect of silymarin on the development of metastases have also been detected. In some neoplastic diseases silymarin can be administered as adjuvant therapy as well.
