Did you know that most people do not drink enough water? There can be significant health consequences of dehydration. One of the reasons that people don’t drink enough water is that it is often considered a “boring” drink – and because it has so little taste, people simply forget to drink enough of it… either that or they opt for a sugared beverage loaded with artificial colors and other unhealthy ingredients.

We’ve got the solution: If you have been following our blog for a while, you’ll notice that we are big fans of herbal drinks – especially “fruit waters” of various kinds. These drinks are not only delicious and super-refreshing but are really healthy – containing no artificial ingredients. They are considered extremely valuable for people who are detoxing and dieting. They are also really fun and look really appealing.

Today we discovered another fabulous one to add to the recipe list – “strawberry mint spa water.” Note that the recipe also includes blueberries and lemon. If you have a pitcher of this ready to go, I’ll bet you get your hydration with much less conscious thought required. 🙂

We’ve just got one more thing to add: Use organic fruit for maximum benefits – and be sure to wash all fruit thoroughly first. Did you know that you can create a really good produce wash really inexpensively using white vinegar? Simply add a cup of white vinegar to a clean bowl of water and leave the produce in it for 10 minutes. You might want to use a light produce brush also. Then, rinse thoroughly with clean water. You will most likely find that the vinegar cleans off dirt so well that the water changes color. It is also antibacterial.
