Apart from being an excellent aid to weight loss, matcha green tea powder is also good at cleansing and purging harmful toxins and elements out of the body. Its chlorophyll content, which is responsible for its green color, makes matcha green tea powder a wonderful and powerful detoxifier that eliminates heavy metals out of the body.

Lastly, matcha agree tea powder works as an amazing energy booster. Studies show that it contains a wonderful blend of natural properties that increases one’s physical endurance by as much as 24%. Furthermore, it contains caffeine that is released gradually as catechins are breaking down. 1. Could you be more specific about amount of Matcha used for a 20oz serving? 1/4 tsp for every 8oz? Sorry to be so dense.

  2. Kay, it says 1/4 tsp for 8-20 oz, so following the recipe you would use 1/4 tsp for 20 oz. I admit it is fairly vague and obviously an 8 oz serving would be stronger tasting than a 20 oz serving. I personally would used 1/2 tsp for 20 oz.

  3. I just bought it in NL, 40,00 Euro a small box. What a price difference compared to the USA. It is a shame that we cannot order from Amazone over here I could save myself a lot of money.

  4. “Matcha green tea powder is also a good source of amino acid L-theanine . . .”
L-theanine along with magnesium and melatonin can also help with GERD. I was on prescription meds for over 20 years for acid reflux. Thought I would be for life. Now I take 500mg magnesium and a 5mg melatonin with L-theanine at bedtime. I take my prescription maybe two days a month now!

  5. But, you mention its made of the tea leaves, Is it posible to use the green tea leaves (dry or already hidrated) to add them in a blender with water or to a smoothy?, would this be similar to matcha powder sold?

  6. I did a little research on metcha before I ordered my own from Japan….these aren’t simple tea leaves that you buy in the filter. They are grown in special conditions in order to contain the highest nutrients and are used in japaniese ceremonies. Regular “green tea” is not bad for you, but probably doesn’t taste very good directly ingested.
